Each year, Shakespeare LIVE! takes a fresh, imaginative look at this perennial audience favorite. In the past, our mischief-making fairies have traveled on stilts, scooters, in-line skates— what will we do next? Just wait and see! When starry-eyed young lovers and zany would-be actors cross paths in a magical forest, the result is one of the world's most uproarious comedies. A Midsummer Night's Dream is the ideal “first Shakespeare” for elementary grades, and a riotous roller-coaster ride for teens (and teachers).

In war-torn Scotland , a heroic general finds himself tempted by ambition, strange prophecies, and his wife's promptings. But once he seizes the throne, a spiral of murder, madness, and dark magic sweeps him inexorably toward his doom. Shakespeare's timeless tragedy will spur discussions of violence, poitical power, and ethics, while it keeps students riveted with fast-paced action and eerie visuals.
